Found a gem in Buffalo. Tucked way back in the blue collar Italian neighborhood of Lackawanna is some of the closest meals I have had to authentic New York Italian. Built in the 1920's and rumored to be a mafia hangout in the 1950's it is a classic, old school, mom and pop "Angolo Posto" (corner joint). Meatballs are huge, the Pasta Fagioli is made fresh, and the sauce is red. I have no idea what start on, never had a bad meal in the place. The 7 meat lasagna is on of my favorites and if you can finish the pasta and meatball you have hidden talent. Definitely save room for dessert, tiramisu and cannolis are made in house. If you are looking for a local place to eat in Buffalo this should be your first pick.
