A fantastic little gem located in a three story cotton exchange building circa 1821. Chef James Boyce of New York’s Le Cirque, Caesars Palace, and the Phoenician has opened 3 incredible restaurants in the Huntsville area. The Cotton Exchange, the first to open its doors, describes itself as "American cuisine with a Southern influence". Menu changes frequently and is focused on seasonal and locally available produce. The night I was in, the ploughman’s specials, kind of a small plates portion, looked so good I just ordered 3 and made that my dinner. The risotto was very good, nice touch topped with fried okra and the beef short ribs fell apart just looking at them, excellent. Was pleasantly surprised to find a meal like this in Huntsville and highly recommend if your in the area. Reservations would be needed during peak times, parking was no problem.
