Bistro Citron
Stumbled on this gem looking for a place to eat dinner before Shakespeare in the Park. Very much a classic french bistro, and a perfect neighborhood eatery for the Columbus Ave area. Love the atmosphere as much as the food. Small tables and booths line a warmly lit inside for hiding, and a nice outdoor cafe area for watching. Menu is large and had hard time deciding,

Grilled breast of duck in honey lavender reduction, artichoke hearts and fingerling potatoes

Pistachio crusted lamb over potato cake in thyme infused au jus

Breaded pork chop, caper lemon emulsion, haricots verts and mesclun salad

Went with the special that night Lamb Stew, dish melted on my fork, must have been cooking all day, perfect. Very cozy and quiet and highly recommend, plus its only a few blocks from the park.

Nothing better
good food,
good wine, and
a bad girl
